OMG! This is pure gold!! Finger picks and everything. Until i saw this, i didn't realise she's playing open chords in the key of C but capoed up on the 4th or 5th fret, putting the song in the key of Eb or E. Thanx for posting!!

Interesting. I didn't realize that was her. For a period of time, in my grade school years, I lived a half mile down the road from the hardens. Back then, Robbie's name was Fern. On local radio and TV, Bobby sang solo, Peggy and Fern sang duets, and the two younger sisters, Arlene and Lynette(sp) sang duets.

To settle this: The young lady on the left is Robbie Harden. I remember watching this program on ABC when it first aired, it was sort of a "Johnny Cash history of country music". Robbie Harden was part of a trio with her sister and brother; they had one hit in 1966, "Tippy-Toeing". They appeared on many records as backup singers. Robbie was a replacement 'Carter sister' for years until Jan Howard took over (Johnny and Jan's affair is alluded to in Marshall Grant's book about Johnny).

her voice isn't so great but hit the harmonies in key and suddenly you can't tell. I can't sing on key but like my voice, so I'm very jealous of people who can and have to make fun whenever I get the chance.
