IKKY:The vuln is a remote code execution, so LAN or WAN it is the same thing.
Twinit2001: as far as I see, he/she carried it out in Console and not via GUI so, even if he was on Linux he would do and see the same thing. NO! metasploit is a tool in every professional/real white/black hackers toolbox. Why do something when others have done it for you?
