wow having to pay to have your works actually be officially yours. that's like having a baby and having to pay to receive your baby.
ShadowFoxSF (September 6, 2008 at 5:23 pm)
Granted I wasn't able to truly find a mention of paying to have works protected (other than what costs are incurred for attorneys for a suit etc. when you /find/ the infringer) except perhaps the cost of searching for the infringer.I did learn it was something originally intended for museums/libraries & the like.If /that/ is the case, then why not put in writing that it had that limitation? why leave it so open??

I've looked through what I can find on the subject...It sounds like since 'reasonable diligence' in looking for the original copyright holder is not clearly defined.Wanting reprints from a photographer might mean looking for them in the phone book, not finding them and just making the prints yourself. It also sounds as if the MAKER of the work would have to do all the real work to actually find an infringer in order to gain compensation (which might not be much at all. Where's the incentive?)
Zaiger420 (September 6, 2008 at 5:09 pm)
Actually this would be a liberal move.Republican = Smaller government.Obama = government intervention in everything. You should get a grasp of how our political system works before believing "CHANGE CHANGE CHANGE" with no explanation to back it up.

I am all over the interbutt. And who might this be?

I think that idea was made from drunken monkeys jumping on sticks out of windows O_oThis thing will never be approved, if it does, I think 80% of the internet will become just plain test with no images or anything else.

Yes, well, I agree, but what the hell are you doing off dA? |
