Thanks Wally..I'm afraid I'm not a great lover of the soprano sax.,but I do like Coltrane...from the late 50s. Only have one CDof his "BLUE TRAIN".

i saw him as well, he passed away soon after that. He was definitely on his deathbed, but at least he was drumming until the end...it must have sustained his spirits and helped him out. He played with mallets on all the tunes and couldn't really articulate subdivisions but all the feeling and soul in the world came right through.

Humm cold,, somehow it is kinda cold, i also get that cold feeling when Tyner plays those stacked 4th chords. Cold as "a breeze of fresh air".
