To be honest I only like Orchid & Morningrise, everything after that seemed to lose the magic & desolation of those 2 albums, but like I said if you throw on ''Hammmerheart'' or ''Blood Fire Death'' you'll see why Bathory was/is the best. Also Darkthrone & Mayhem are not underrated, they should be very well respected by now, Ulver I agree however are underrated.

your right, I wasn't trying to put Bathory down, I love the raw sound of his vocals, Opeth though, their something else they just keep making excellent album after excellent album. I wish more people apreciated bands like Bathory, so many talented black metal bands are so underrated like darkthrone, mayhem, ulver.

Don't make me laugh, Akerfeldt HIMSELF even worship's the ground Quorthon walked on, Bathoy was the first band he heard that merged raw fast paced Black/Thrash metal with melody and that is what also gave Akerfeldt that idea. Opeth have never wrote a ''Blood Fire Death'' or a ''Under The Sign''.
