Learn More: http://www.greenpeace.org/inte... — We chased it for 5 days, but as dawn broke over the Pacific this morning we finally confronted the biggest tuna fishing vessel in the world. The Spanish-owned and flagged tuna purse seiner "Albatun Tres" is known as a 'super, super seiner' and can net 3,000 tonnes of tuna in a single fishing trip. This is almost double the entire annual catch of some Pacific island countries.

In your opinion, what would be the most important problem in the world? To me, because so many people depend on fish for food, it seems particularly vital. As for the methods, I do agree that this may not be so very effective in solving the problem, but very effective in bringing about the attention it deserves, I mean, look, we're talking about it right now, so it may serve as a precursor to our (your and my) applying pressure to demand governments to solve it.Your thoughts?
zaiivonhest (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
yes....well its not the most important problem in the world at the moment of course. but it seems to be a problem and i think some people should try to fix it, but with different methods, thats right.
sselfless (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
so you agree with them about the importance of this problem, but not the methods they use to bring about awareness of such a problem?
