Negligent homicide: a charge brought against people, who by inaction allow others under their care or presence intentionally to die.Sound familiar? It's the Easter story.Original blog (the video is slightly modified): http://www.gisburne.com/blog/2... you probably realise that option 1 of the 3 at the end should have been:Save your son but allow a million people to dieDisclaimer (yes, for some unthinking idiots I really do need to add this):Remember at all times that my descriptions of God actually doing things are hypothetical. I don't for one second believe that Jesus was the son of God or indeed that there is a God at all. But in these types of arguments the case has to be put in terms of 'if God existed, and acted in the ways described by Christians, then x, y and z would be the realities of the situation.' Atheists should probably endeavour to explain that every now and again, because we are constantly told that we do actually believe in God but are denying him. No, we don't believe. We are pointing out what nonsense these teachings really are.---Intro/Outro: http://www.jamendo.com/en/albu... from tracks 1 and 17)

I hate what religion does to people. However without it people would find some other reason to hate each other :o)I don't accept the concept of 'evil' as some kind of disjointed 'force' which touches people's lives. 'There is evil in the world' simply means there are people who do bad things. Lots of em.Fiction and fairytales ARE often dangerous because they often inspire and motivate people to act in certain ways, and give a justification for their actions.

Your graphic says "Hate The Religion, Not The Religious."Irony aside, do you really believe those words of yours? I read many books with evil as the theme and many other negative concepts from various other sources. They mean nothing until PEOPLE act on them. And then it's the people that should be feared.Fiction and superstitious fairytales never hurt anyone.

The second one is the reality of the situation, according to Christianity, hence this video.

Funny, this "Nick" seems to be belaboring under the notion that 3:16 reads, "God so loved the world that he killed his only son," or at least, "God so loved the world that he let his only son be put to death."

This is the best analysis I have seen yet. The god of the bible doesn't do anything he doesn't want to. Christians say god doesn't want anyone to go to hell. Then why does he allow hell to exist? This god who punishes is just like an abusing husband who screams at his bruised and bloody wife, "See what you made me do?"The one with the power is the one responsible. Period.

No my friend if you know he doesn't believe in god the sudden, illogical attempt to make someone look bad was on you...I just reiterated your ridiculous point.
WolfVenom1 (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
What??? Where did that come from???? This video says in itself that he doesn't. Of course i realize that. I never said i didn't. That's what we call a sudden, illogical outburst in an attempt to try to make someone look bad.

You dont seem to understand he doesn't believe in your god.
WolfVenom1 (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
You don't seem to understand that he wants to see how we do on our own.

Oh yeah, like we're going to start believing that an alien captured a billion souls and put them in volcanoes. That's WAY more believable than a burning bush (NOT).L. Ron Hubbard was proving a point about people's gullibility. He created the religion lock, stock and barrel out of his imagination. And yet, there are probably a million people today who believe in this pantload of crap unreservedly. It's scary, really. |
