I really feel sad when I read about him. Where his life went. I mean he had so much going for him. After he left the band he was engaged to his Girlfriend Gala Pinion but they split later on. And he had nobody but his family. But you cant really blame the girlfriends for breaking up with him...for what he did to his ex-lover Lindsay Corner ..looked her in a room for 3 days and then ..slammed a quitar over her head

I totally agree with you Knickd1979 Early Floyd and later Floyd are totally different. Syd brought a certian creative energy and spirit to the band so when he left so did that energy and spirit. Then the bands songs though still good became darker and deeper. Totally different. RIP Syd We do miss you.

i wouldn't say shit, but, yes, they turned a completely different band. an excellent band like 10 or so other bands. after syd they lost the magic, the uniqueness, the genius.

floyd with syd and floyd without syd are 2 different bands and should not be compared. enough syd or gilmour. imagine the depth they would have had if they stayed a 5 piece!!! this song is so frigin powerful when you crank it up loud. "WOULDN'T YOU MISS ME AT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLL"???
