This is exciting. I'm not a big fan of metal, but seeing they got such a big artist gives me hope that there will be some really great licensed tracks in the game, and not just some underground indie stuff like we all thought at first.

It's appealing because it has a interface structured as a game, so the player is not actually focused on playing the music but winning the game. When it comes to music software or sheet music, most people are overwhelmed, so Guitar Rising tries to teach the basics on how to play the guitar without frustrating you by making playing the guitar like playing a video game.

hahaha, epic ! Totally agree ^^

yes because this game is played with frets. so the dots you see going across the screen have numbers in it, and the number indicates which fret you should be using. so the notes are indeed all real.

I don't see how this is gonna get lots of new people to play guitar. This is just like guitar pro 5, but with better graphics and a text telling you how good you did.

If i were to buy this game and play Enter Sandman, then if i remembered what the notes were, would it SOUND like Enter Sandman w/o the game?
