This insider is spewing propaganda & that is why he remains negative. The worse things are & appear, the more profits for this Oil Banker. We already had EV Cars that would go 385 Miles on 1 charge & our Gov't & C.A.R.B. took them ALL of them off the road because they were gaining popularity. They had a safeguard & that was that all the EV Vehicles were Leased. Rent "WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR" from Blockbuster & the TRUTH will set U FREE! BTW, this guy is CFR & BILDERBERG SCUM!

Oil producing algie grown in salt water tanks in the dessert seems to be the tact the US gov't is taking. Using these algie tanks can now produce 5000 gallons of vegetable oil an acre. If they cover the ponds they think it can be brought to 20,000 gallons an acre. Pipelines from the sea could bring in the seawater. If all cars were switched to diesel this tech could produce what is needed using 15% of the sonoran dessert. Ethanol is needed to produce biodeisel the 15% mandates will fit the bill.

I think it's amazing how many times the peak oil experts have to explain that it's not about "running out of oil". One would think that on a business show like this, the simple economics of decreasing supply would be better appreciated and understood. Even now, on Wikipedia, peak oil contrarians cite statistics on the amount of oil left in the ground (20, 40, 100 years left, whatever). It all misses the point: supply goes down, prices go up.

i have an honest question. matt simmon's is an advisor for george w. bush and know's that peak oil is a reality. so why hasn't he convinced bush? or has he? ie-the attack of iraq for oil. but if so then bush is dumber than i suspected. because if anyone really understood peak oil then they would be spending trillions of dollars to develop alternative energy. otherwise they'd end up looking like the most shortsighted president in history.

If as Simmions says the industry and the world still expects to see 120mbd by 2030 and in reality there is only 70mbd. who gets it? Price isn't going to be the final arbiter anymore for countries are not going to able get enough oil to keep their economies going at any price.
