On this version I agree, but J.J.'s studio version is better than the one you speak of and this one too. Just my opinion though.

The song is so simple, its only 4 chords on the guitar. Yet it's presented with such ease and elegance that it's damn near hypnotic. And then there are the lyrics. The feeling of longing is as universal as it gets. We've all been there but to often we let our day to day get it in the way. We are all very fortunate that JJ Cale captures and channels that kind of emotion for us all. A shot of JJ's Magnolia helps to heal the sprite if only for a little while.

This guy is a legend, his music means as much for music as for example Bob Marley's reggae. I ask myself this question many times: Why is this guy not so famous? I think it's because of his personality, he doesn't like to be in the spotlights. The man is the most relax and shy person I know. Huge hits like after midnight and cocaine are songs the whole world knows, but J.J. Cale??? Who the hell is that?? Maybe it's for the best this way.. I don't know...
