The *fact* is that it has been demonstrated women and asians consistently do better for symphony orchestra auditions when they are concealed behind a curtain and the judges have to rely on their ears. I find it interesting how many Europeans just seem to have no clue how bigoted they can be.

I will try again. It has nothing to do with ethnicity. Its only a result of a different education. Its a known fact that the main focus in Asia is the technique, unlike europe where the main focus is musical interpretation. That is a big difference. I go to 5 calassical guitarfestivals every year, and you always see the same thing. Asian guitarplayers with amazing skills, but they never make it far in the competition, because there interpretation is mostly straight forward.

Yes that's right you talk trash.Your sweeping generalizations about the qualifications of people of other races and/or cultures to play or appreciate classical music is idiocy of the first trashy division.If you are lucky someday you may grow up and start to get a clue as to how little you really know.

Me a trash talker? Tearing somebody down? Don't even start with that crap. I started this whole thing by stating that technically she plays perfect. To me there's just no feeling in the piece.Its not bad or anything like that, but there is no magic. Thats my oppinion. If you feel otherwise, good for you. But dont start about me being a hater or a trashtalker.

Who is the idiot? I have lived in asia for 23 years and I have been singing and playing guitar professionally for the past 30 years. Now *I* know enough about music to know that it is much bigger than me. What do *you* know? Couldn't say but what I have learned about musicians is generally the trash talkers like you are dedicated to tearing somebody down because you just don't have too much to offer. I suppose I should cut you some slack I was like that once. Talk to me in 20 years.

Now who is the idiot. I stated clearly that it has nothing to do with Ethnicity, but with the way of teaching in Asia. This piece is played as straight forward as possible. If you like this piece, its the quality of the music itself. She plays every note at the same volume. There are no intonations or dynamics here. But then, who am I? Im only a 4th year classical guitar student at the cologne university of music, so what do I know.
