Great Episode! It took a1 lot of balls in my opinion for Hobson to admit his prejudice to 'Captain' Data and I commend him for electing to stand down in light of this conflict. And in return 'Captain' Data showed leadership in keeping Hobson as his first officer in effect teaching Hobson a lesson how to be a good tactical leader despite being constantly questioned about his actions. I'm sure by this time Data also realizes that Hobson might encounter the same problem in the future. Data ftw!

Data is the man! If you've ever seen the full ep, you'll notice that the only reason Data gets to command the Sutherland -- he hadn't been assigned -- is because he kind of shames Picard, who seems to have doubts Data is ready for command, despite his 26 years of service to Starfleet. Also, it shows some in Starfleet, like Hobson, don't believe in Data's worth as a person because he's an android.
