That's actually terrible advice. I don't know about coughing to prevent shock, since I haven't looked that up, but coughing to prevent a heart-attack is not only a myth, it's a BAD IDEA. It's as simple as going to snopes and looking this up. One should not cough to prevent an oncoming heart-attack unless you know what kind of heart-attack it is and you know what you're doing. Generally, doing this will only makes things worse. Please do a little research before posting this type of thing.

That's actually really good advice. Someone at our school was feeling really faint, and a teacher told him to do that. It worked.

Well, I think the general point of the video was for a layperson to treat shock until you guys show up. They specifically said in the video not to move them if you don't know what their injuries are.
