One of the bonus bosses added into FFVI Advance. Jabotender, the giant Sabotender can be encountered by stepping on the tile here after slaying at least ten Sabotenders (and goodness knows that's one of my favorite hobbies!). This is my second attempt. Besides spamming 1,000 Needles, Jabotender seems to retaliate with a very strong physical attack which pretty much owns my main fighters. During the first try, I didn't have Reraise or Quick, but those spells really helped me out this time, especially when it comes to surviving his final ten 1,000 Needles when he dies! After defeating Jabotender, you receive the Magic Stone 'Sabotender', granting access to him as a summon. Sabotender teaches Telepo at a 20x rate, Vanish at a 10x rate, and Hasega at a 5x rate, and increases the equipped party member's speed by 2 at level up.It feels great to have a nice challenge, especially since FFVI definitely isn't one of the toughest Final Fantasies. I'm really looking forward to the other bonus bosses!

Original I and II were notably very tedious, if only because of their archaic designs and frequent random encounters. The PS1 remakes retain the original's difficulty; while the GBA/PSP remakes make it much easier to level up/use spells without running out and getting screwed. Overall they were made easier for the new generation of players who shouldn't have to put up with archaic game design.

GBA/WSC versions are the same as the original SFC version. And from what I hear, the DS version is even harder in some regards although I haven't gotten very far in that one. Yes, V was a decent challenge. And III is awesome, you should play it sometime.

FFVIII is easy, yes. Ironically it becomes even easier at lower levels due to how enemy's level with you for the most part in that game.Yeah, you CAN beat the whole game in under 10 hours but that doesn't mean most people playing the game are going to use OCD speedrun tactics on their first playthrough.I haven't played FFX in a long time so I really don't remember enough to comment on it. I remember one of Rikku's mixes was very broken though.

If anything, the original SNES version is actually even easier because of the evasion bug. Even without abusing Vanish + Doom/X-Zone the game still isn't that hard; there's just so many powerful things you can use, and if you know what the bosses are weak to and equip yourself appropriately it becomes even easier.

FFIV actually had some challenging aspects until it was re-released. V wasn't bad either in that regard. I've never played the actual III. II was hard originally... re-released they made it so you get way too powerful way too fast. Just beat the crap out of yerself and win... that's all you have to do.I originally was pretty hard but re-released once again a joke. FF Mystic Quest... kind of hard in the story... last boss is a joke. Use cure... you win.

FFVIII is easy.... Eden... a few choice enhancements to the GFs and you can become Gods easily (not to mention how easy it is to max out the levels). FFIX is easy. I was doing 9999 damage without even trying. You can beat the whole game in under 10 hours.FFX... don't even get me started with this. Make Kimarhi like either Auron or Tidus and you have 3 ridiculous brutes on your side... speed them up with some Rikku stats and you are unstoppable.

I find it funny that a bunch of people call FFVI so easy. The re-releases... sure they are a breeze but so are all the re-releases of any RPG (getting like 2 times the experience... things like that). FFVI is not actually THAT much easier. The only thing which made it really easy was vanish+doom. I didn't use it... what's the point? FFVII is easy... pair phoenix and final attack. Use Knights of the Round and mime. Even the weapons are a joke then.

I just beat Gigantuar (that's what that cactus is called in my version) yesterday, without access to reraise (didn't go to pheonix cave yet). I summoned mega flare first, then sonic dive, then got extremely lucky with Setzer @ master scroll and fixed dice, and the cactus died after using 8 1000 needle in a row and leaving only one of my character alive at 200 HP .... I got so lucky o_o
