yes it can use a box mag if u go on ebay n type in custom m4 all the 2009 jg m4s all different kinda lik s-systen regular m4 n the cqb n all tht thy all come wit box mags 5000 rds n the one on ebay has fullmetal internals 400fps or more n a tightbore barrel thy r sick n come wit accesories
