He mention rapper's action committed in hip-hop to please revenues goals of their masters, the record label. You see, ring-tones is the new way of producing revenues for these clowns and this is why Soulja Boy and Flo Rida or Florida, named after the state they came from, are on the tops because people find their songs silly and buy their ring-tone as a silly sound. But ring-tone don't declare your artist stature.

Yes we have an artist for hip hop.

I agree with you, navidif. They need to get as far away from the mic as possible. No-talents like Soulja Boy, Chingy, and their ilk have killed the greatness that was once hip-hop/rap. Tip (AND The Dallas Austin Experience) will hopefully get the chance to bringing it back. If their projects are NOT released, I will not be surprised. Universal/Motown (like the other corporate labels) are too cowardly to release these projects and let the public decide.

Q-Tip is an exceptionally talented rapper/lyricist/producer/musician/m.c. This why is he is typically dissed by the corporate owned record labels and radio stations. I have been a fan of Tip's from the beginning. I love the Brother because he won't sell out his God-given talents and succumb to the non-talents currently ruining hip-hop/rap. I am looking forward "The Rennaisance" coming out....and the Dallas Austin Experienc...both under Universal/Motown.... realistically, I won't hold my breath.
