That's the one i hired and was impressed with.Comparing it to past V8's in close or more on power/torque.80's V8's had less power and = torque. They are a fine engine, Some little mods and they would blow many doors off.

Do you own a high output Alloytec? Because I do, and they are pretty damn powerful for a 6 cylinder. To clarify; this SV6 was a dealer test car. My brother owns an 07 VE SV6 and I own a late 06 VE Calais.

It would be good but it would chomp too much into their V8 market (which is actually thriving despite the fuel price hike). The reason Ford decided to release their turbo's is because aside from the obvious fact that the I6's are strong and better suited for handling boost, is that their V8 share was really dwindling as the Boss V8 just doesn't cut it. Good move by Ford I say!Holden do need to step their game up in that regard, but I highly doubt they will.

The motors, drivetrains are from GM and yes they can be better.

Holdens have crap 6 cylinder motors.

The FGs look ugly as man. The FPV looks even worse. The front looks like they've copied the E-Series HSV with the black foglight cover. I use to like the BF series FPVs but not with the FGs, the entire line is crap.I suppose the 195kw Alloytec is good enough, I own a VYII S that only has 152kw and it kick ass in the highway. What Holden need to make are smaller, more fuel efficient engine that produce high output power, like the germans.

Thanks, that solves the expensive cam belt replacement problem. |
