John 10:30 - "I and the Father are one."John 14:28 - "You heard me say, 'I am going away and I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."Jesus is God and God is Jesus, whom are both separately and jointly the Holy Ghost, therefore:1. God is greater than Jesus.2. Jesus is greater than God.3. Jesus is greater than himself.4. God is greater than himself.5. The Holy Ghost is greater than Jesus.6. Jesus is greater than the Holy Ghost.6. The Holy Ghost is greater than God.7. God is greater than the Holy Ghost.8. The Holy Ghost is greater than himself. If you don't believe it, read the Bible and see for yourself.

Well it doesnt make sense to me at least. This movie is a clear illustration as to why the Trinity makes absolutly no sense.

To be Christian is to believe in Christ, follow his example and strive to become like him in his perfect form. You dont have to believe in the trinity to be Christian. I believe the Father and the son and the holy ghost are seperate beings. The idea of the trinity was crafted by a bunch of religious scholors and stuch in order to appease the beliefs of all people. (look up the "trial of Nicea") Which is where the nicean creed was written, which spawned trinitarian belief. It doesnt make sense.

"fragments that date to the first century" , not the whole book. Adding passages was still convenient. The Bible wasn't transmitted orally. Where are the 5000 manuscripts? Can you cite? 3:3 - Allah sent down to you the truth confirming what came down before it.Allah sent down the Torah and the Gospel.Does the Bible today confirm the Qur'an? I don't think so. Yes, I misspoke. I didn't mean 2 say that it was corrupted in the 1st century.

It is irrelevant how many websites vote "corrupted" v. "uncorrupted". What is your actual argument? You have claimed that the Bible has been corrupted and that in the 1st century. Just provide a single argument so that we can have a meaningful dialogue. I have already argued for the authority of the Bible based on the Qu'ran's affirmation of it as it existed in days of Muhammad. There are many verses to this effect in the Qu'ran which I've already referenced. I'll mention here just 3:3.

Actually well over 5000 manuscripts of the NT exist in Greek alone including fragments that date to the first century. Your original claim was that the "Bible" was corrupted in the 1st century (prior to 100 AD) -- a claim that Ehrman doesn't even make. Are you saying that you misspoke?
settok33 (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
Nope. Not kidding. There were many sites that said it was corrupted and many that didn't. Many critics say it was, many say it wasn't. What do you want 2 believe?

I studied the history 4 u today - 85 mins. The accuracy of the Bible was proved by Christian sites. Like I'm trusting them. What I love about the Bible is that it's so mysterious. When Jesus, word of God, was crucificted by the Jews, how do you expect the other "word of God" to survive? I can cite all the sites I want, you won't believe me anyways. Why waste my time? Why don't you tell me why the Bible is, not, altered? |
