Geddy Lee, Steve Harris, Billy Sheehan, and there a whole lot but just so you know Steve doesnt have a solo just put Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden and the almost all the song is in bass.Oh and Geddy's solo is inside the song YYZ, and Leave that thing alone by Rush.

I admit when he plays slow his songs turn a little bit groovier but you have to admit its incredibly how he can do it with so much speed and still be called a groove solo.

Naive... Interesting? Yes there are many other interesting bassists. I'm not going to name any. With some thought you should be able to find some.Anyway, just a personal note regarding Mr. Wooten: I prefer when he doesn't play wicked fast. His tasty grooves are what I love about his playing. Anyone else agree?

I've heard of this guy just because Greg Howe did a record with him. I never listened to his music but he is an amazing bassist. I like his style compared to other great bass players like Geddy Lee,etc.
