LOL what a difficult way of installing it!Just clone that damn disk under linux with dd, replace the needed files like patched kernel etc. and boot it up.Hail maxxuss! (insider joke) :D:D:D:D:D

use b43-fwcutter to install the firmware for the card. in ubuntu 8.04 tho, you can go to system > admin > hardware (or restricted? cant remember) and just click the checkbox there to enable the wireless card; then when it prompts you to fetch the firmware, check that box to do it also... its so simple, dont know why people cry about bcm cards not working. ive gotten mine to work on every distro ive ever tried, and thats a bunch.

i didn't read well...thought you said he said ubuntu is NOT illegal...ehm...ubuntu is free,is not illegal at all,besides you can run both,windows and vista in the same pc...is pretty cool actually,i use 'em both and no problems yet
