The sound is pretty good... you can actually customize the equalizer and the surround sound. For example the sound can be more pop or heavy, and it can sound live or karaoke.

yes, exactly.
F means that it has FM radio reciever.
There are other models in this 630 series:
638f has 8 gb of flash memory
636f has 4 gb
635f - 2 gb
639F has 16 gb

Is "NWZ-639F" the full title of this mp3 player or is there a letter or two missing here coz it's not coming up in searches??

Very nice video on the Sony Mp3 player nice to use. On my website you can use PC texting very easy to use and send text messages online. You can go to my profile to access my website. Very nice video.
