i love this song. I first heard it today in my English class. I have AP/IB English and we had to read The Grapes of Wrath over the summer. We've been talking about the book and having test on it. When I heard this song, i fell in love with it. This is my 20th time listening to it. I'm gonna put it on my ipod now.

Hmm, there wouldn't be a cover version without the original songwriter's lyrics now, would there? Sure, other bands / artists can do amazing covers of songs, but when you strip everything down, the lyrics stand on their own, don't they? Without Bruce's great gift for songwriting, rock music would be missing a piece of itself.
