This man is Amazing!! He can sing anything you throw at him! There is not a performer out there like him! He knows how good he is! He is just modest! Cant wait to see him again! Love this man! Cant get enough of him!

cont'd: Clay made it "HIS" by a mile, and the occasional wail was genius for showing immense passion and heartbreak which the song requires. No doubt about it Clay is definitely number 1 here. He's got it all, and a 3+ Octave range too.

Just went to view some of the other versions. Badfinger were great for writing this amazing song, but didn't sing it well; Kelly, good but not great, Mariah, too into herself and showcasing her ability to do "soul" riffs, Nillson, good but still didn't have the Golden tone in the lower register nor the amazing power in the glory notes. cont'd

The song was written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of Badfinger. They were signed to Apple records by the Beatles. They both committed suicide eight years apart. Ham also wrote 2 other monster hits "Day After Day' and "No Matter What". If you want talent listen to Badfinger.

no... i think it was harry nillson [cant spell name] well, there are a lot of versions.. all very nice... clay's version was probably the sweetest ive heard... but its supposed to be more heart breaking...

I was lucky enough to see Tom Evans, who co-wrote this song, sing it in 1983 a few months before his death. Clay Aikens is good but he is no Tom Evans.

Do you mean "Badfinger"? I haven't heard it,but I'm sure it's not better or even as good as Clay's version. No one sings better than Clay.
