im guessing they put in a brush less motor,the powerful ones you see at hobby stores, i have a storm launcher and it wouldn't go above 50ft, so i called my local hobby shop bought a brush less motor 5 times more powerful, and had them install it, now it is amazingly fast and cane go very high

Dude! Thats Sweet, makes me want to get one. where do I get them motors at. Thats the only way to go.
