Infrastructure is about more than roads and bridges, folks. iTuplip has a good point. Lots of big money is now going into photovoltaics, wind turbines and fusion. Cost-effective electric vehicles are now hitting showrooms floors all over the world, as well. There's still a lot of good investments to make, but traditional ideas of investing are going to hurt the small investor and the 'day-trader.' Best short to mid-term investment today: Silver.

iTulip, this just hit the news. 4/6/08WASH. - Democratic lawmakers said Sunday that Congress should pass a second economic aid plan that would focus on helping homeowners avoid foreclosure and increasing spending on bridges, roads and transit systems. "Our economy will never grow in the 21st century unless we expand and repair the deteriorating infrastructure needs of our country," said Sen. Christopher Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
